Council Minutes

We are planning to create a covenant for our life together for conflict resolution.
Homebound congregation members will be part of a lay visitor program that will involve a phone call/card/visit approximately once a month.
There will be no indoor services through November. An outdoor service for Christmas Eve is being considered.
It is possible that we could use car radios to broadcast the outdoor worship services when the weather gets colder.
We are looking into the use of an outdoor heater for Pastor Becky and Jeff Miller for our outdoor services.
The job descriptions for Pastor and Music Director will be updated.
Robert Barnhart submitted his resignation as Sexton; and Robert West was hired to take his place.
The ventilation system outside the office (air exchange) needs to be looked at before we can begin in-person services/meetings.
Spouting at the rear of the church has been repaired.
The light at the rear of the church still needs to be worked on.
The church will be getting new computers/technology soon. The upgrades will be handled by Lynx Technologies and paid for by the candy makers. Included will be a new computer in the office, a new laptop for worship, a web cam, and internet access in the sanctuary.
A possible upgrade to the internet wiring at the back of the church might be needed to accommodate live streaming. Equipment needed for live streaming the worship services once we reopen to in-person worship will be looked into
One of the refrigerators in the kitchen has ceased functioning and will be removed.
We are looking into contracting for snow removal.
Landscaping around the church is needed to take care of bare patches of grass, bushes that need to be trimmed, and possibly a new flowering tree to be planted. Dierolf Landscaping has performed this work. Tree planting in the spring.
Meetings for NA and AA have resumed.
Voting on the proposed 2021 budget will take place during the outdoor service on November 15, with the rain date being November 29.
We are looking into taking over control of the Happel account; on-line access has been requested.
The drive-up prayer and blessing will be discontinued for now. If Berk County goes back into a lockdown, we can address this service at that time.
Pastor Becky will take vacation from November 4 (after Council meeting) through November 10.
We now have a Little Food Pantry in front of the church. This is for those in need.
Busy Bags for children will be handed out possibly at the end of each month to help keep kids occupied. November 15, Sunday, 10:30 a.m., Outdoor Worship Service November 29, Sunday, 10:30 a.m., Outdoor Worship Service, Communion
