Worship & Music

Most Sundays at 10:45 am, the people of St. Andrew's Church gather for worship at our church home; on the third Sunday of each month we join our friends at Olivet Reformed U.C.C., 1648 Centre Ave., for a combined worship service. (Please check the calendar on the home page for any other special worship times.) While the church consists of many programs and activities, this is the heart of community. Our inspiring English Gothic style building, built in 1890, provides a beautiful setting for worship. Although the service is liturgical in structure, the feeling is warm, intimate and open. Persons of all religious backgrounds are warmly welcomed to worship at St. Andrew's.

Music plays an important role at St. Andrew's Church. Our pastor, Rev. Michael Baal, also serves as acting choir director. He has worked to develop a varied music program which greatly enhances our worship life together. Of course, we (like the people of many other churches) like to think our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service is one of the most beautiful anywhere.

If it's been a while since you've shared in worship, do come to visit St. Andrew's. It's small enough to be friendly, yet large enough to provide a beautiful setting for worship. Our service is "user friendly" for any first-time visitors. And, the sermons are not only "good news," but they are designed to relate to the issues we face in everyday life. Come be refreshed and renewed. You'll be glad that you did!
