Since its inception in 1999 by our First Lady, Sis. Jenetta Runnels and a group of concerned parents at Greater Metropolitan Mb Church this organization of youth and adults have touched many lives of the youth in our faith community. Relationships and bonds were established that were not only life changing but lifelong relationships.
It is the goal of the PYLC to help make disciples by allowing our youth to mature in Christ, share the Word of God, honoring Him in all ways and building His Kingdom. PYLC participates annually in several ministry driven projects throughout the year, GFDC Hunger Walk, Angel Tree, Good Shepherd Senior Community Outreach outing, , Pastor’s Anniversary to name a few.

Under the leadership of Sis. Sharon Allen, 2017 promises to be a year of innovation, growth, and new beginnings as she brings a dedication level and passion like no other to our yearly events: The Annual Heritage Tea in February, The 2nd Annual Youth Revival in June; Vacation Bible School/Summer Camp, The Baptist General State Convention of Illinois Congress of Christian Education in August, and the Annual Angel Tree and Christmas Social in December.
