Worship & Music

Each Sunday at 10:15 am, St. John’s gathers for worship. While the church consists of many programs and activities, this is the heart of community. Although the service is liturgical in structure, the feeling is warm, intimate and open. Persons of all religious backgrounds are warmly welcomed and often worship at St. John’s.

Music plays an important role at St. John’s. Our music director, Tonya Spears, has worked to develop a varied program of vocal and instrumental music which greatly enhances our worship life together. Tonya leads the adult choir and is responsible for all aspects of the congregations’ musical life.

Children are also an important part of the life of St. John’s UCC. Nursery is available during worship for tots and Junior Church for our school-age youth. St. John’s sanctuary is handicapped accessible via a chairlift located at the left entrance doors.

So, if it's been a while since you've shared in worship, do come to visit St. John’s. It's small enough to be friendly, yet large enough to provide a beautiful setting for worship. Our service is very "user friendly" and easy for first-time visitors. And, the sermons are not only "good news," but they are designed to relate to the issues we face in everyday life.
