Welcome Visitors

You are cordially invited to join our congregation regularly for worship and participate in the wide variety of activities and opportunities in its parish life. If you are new, we welcome you; if you are "newly returned," we rejoice with you; if you are a member in long standing, we celebrate your gifts and your ministry among Shepherd of the Mountains' congregation and the community of Jackson. If you are a new resident to the community and are looking for a church home you are invited to join this congregation of faith. Join us again for worship. You are always welcome!

With great joy we welcome all guests who worship with us! We feel privileged that God has brought you to this congregation while you are away from your own congregation and that we might worship together as faithful Christians. Please take a moment to sign our guest book on the table in the narthex and complete a green and white guest card (found on the same table) and place the card in the offering plate or hand it to an usher or the Pastor. Join us again for worship, you are always welcome!

Those who are not familiar with the liturgy are encouraged to participate in the worship service in a way that is comfortable. Worship is the heart of the Lutheran Church. It is where we gather to praise, thank, and glorify God, celebrate our lives in Christ, offer our gifts, and strengthen our faith. The liturgy is poetic Biblical language intended to enhance the experience of The Mystery of God in human living. Worship is partly educational, partly pastoral, but mostly about sharing our experience of The Sacred, The Holy, with one another and with God.
