Vacation Bible School

Each summer church leaders with the help of volunteers hold a four-day Vacation Bible School for children from age two to twelve. During the “Spirituality through the Arts” VBS sessions a theme of the Bible is taught and celebrated through Bible stories, music, arts & crafts, and food. It is a joy to watch the children sing the hymns with relish, create works of art, and join into the fellowship as they learn about the themes of the Bible. Recent themes of Allegheny UCC's VBS included Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus, Children of the Bible, Christmas in July, Superheroes of the Bible, and Set Sail on Noah’s Ark.
