Rev. Colleen Norman
SENIOR PASTOR - The Rev. Colleen M. Norman, a native of Chicago, became pastor of Southlawn UMC on July 1, 2020. She holds degrees from DePaul University and the Chicago Theological Seminary. Pastor Colleen has taught Theology for the Seminary Consortium for Urban Pastoral Education, lectured at St. Xavier University, and is previous VBS Editor for Urban Ministries, Inc. She was a clergy recipient of the prestigious Denman Evangelism Award, and has served as member of both religious and civic boards and organizations. Pastor Colleen is the mother of four adult children and the grandmother of three.
Betty Morris
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - Mrs. Betty Morris has been with Southlawn UMC for over 10 years. She considers it an honor to serve the Pastor and members of Southlawn. She is a retired Chicago Transit Authority Supervising Rail Instructor. She enjoys square dancing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Norman Rucker
MINISTER OF MUSIC - Although not formally trained in music, Norman hails from an immensely musical family. Blessed with the gift of perfect pitch, his skills include piano, organ, chorale directing, writing and arranging. In addition to serving at Southlawn United Methodist Church, Norman’s musical talents have been shared with Grant Memorial AME, St. John CME, Maple Park UMC, and Mandell UMC where he served for 26 years. Norman holds a BA degree from Chicago State University.
David Williams
CUSTODIAN - Mr. David Williams has been with Southlawn since April of 2010. He is a very dedicated worker. Southlawn is happy to have him.
