A wedding at Saint Paul's United Church of Christ is a Christian worship service in which two persons make promises to each other and seek God's blessing. We look forward to working with you to build your marriage on a solid foundation and to make your wedding a meaningful event.

SCHEDULING A WEDDING

If you wish to be married at Saint Paul's, you need to contact the Pastor at the church office (215-646-1458) at your earliest opportunity. Together, you will set a time for the initial meeting of the three of you. At that meeting you will set the date and time for the wedding.

PASTOR

The Pastor of Saint Paul's is available to officiate at your wedding if it fits into his schedule. Other pastors may, upon the invitation of Saint Paul's pastor, participate in the wedding service. These arrangements must be discussed when scheduling the ceremony.

ORGANIST

Saint Paul's organist plays at all weddings unless other specific arrangements are made at the time the wedding is scheduled. In consultation with the Pastor (who will provide the organist's name and contact information), it is the responsibility of the wedding party to contact the organist in a timely manner. If it is desired to have other musicians participate in the service, they must be cleared by Saint Paul's organist at least one month in advance of the ceremony, in order to make appropriate arrangements.

PRE-MARITAL COUNSELING

We at Saint Paul's would like to help you to prepare, not only for a beautiful wedding, but also for a fulfilling marriage. For this reason we normally require three pre-marital counseling sessions with the Pastor. The counseling may be done by another pastor or agency with the approval of the pastor of Saint Paul's. The couple is responsible for any fees required by any such pastor or agency.
