Children & Youth

Children and youth participate fully in the life of Saint Paul's, as acolytes, lay readers, ushers, table servers at dinners, musicians, workers on work days, and a youth member sits on the Consistory (governing board). Occasionally the Youth lead the entire worship service.

Other occasional activities include the Easter egg hunt, the Family Christmas Decorating Party, Children's Choir, skating and bowling parties,and overnight trips to the beach and picnics at a local State park. New ideas and opportunities from parents are always welcome.

Each Sunday there is a structured Christian education program for children from ages 5 -12 years. The children are in the worship service until the end of the "Children's Chat." They then are dismissed for the Sunday school portion during the worship service. The Sunday school session ends in conjunction with the end of the worship service. For children under the age of 6 there is a playroom/nursery that is supervised by a qualified staff member. Once children are confirmed members, they stay upstairs to participate in the church service. Our pastor leads a confirmation class for those children who are between the ages of 12-14. They typically meet every Sunday from Sept to May and participate in a variety of educational, service and fellowship activities
