Worship & Music

Worship at CCUCC is a time of praying, singing, scripture reading, caring, and listening for the Still Speaking God through sermons and sharing. The service is designed with a traditional format that flows freely with some different ways. The music ranges from the old hymns of the church to contemporary Christian music to Southern Gospel. It is meditative and celebrative, soft and slow to energized and rejoicing. Our people are involved through lay reading, music ministry, Sharing with Our Youth, and providing hospitality during service and after at coffee hour.

The service lasts about an hour although we aren’t strict adherents to the clock. People wear what is comfortable for them; pants, dresses, t-shirts to ties. Everyone is welcome wherever they are on life’s journey.

We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of the month. It is an open table and we celebrate as Jesus did, there is a place for everyone including you. Communion is offered through intinction. We come forward to receive the bread and dip it in the cup.

We share Pastor Jeannine with First Congregational UCC here in Pueblo. o it is not unusual to see her dashing into service or out the door. January – June service is at 11am. July – December 9:30am. On different occasion throughout the year we have joint services with FCC at 10am and take turns hosting.

Children & Youth

We delight in having children and youth in our services. They are always welcome. Pastor Jeannine and others take turns bringing a Bible story or lesson for them each Sunday. Following their time in the service the youth go downstairs for crafts, learning and fellowship with our Youth Person, Bernadette Dorsey.
