WALK FOR THE HOMELESS
Each spring our congregation participates in a walk for the homeless to assist the homeless in the area. St. Peter’s and Huff’s Union Church jointly organize the event. Volunteers obtain pledges to sponsor them and the proceeds are distributed to charitable organizations helping the homeless and hungry. There are 3 walking routes available with rest stops along the way; there is a 3 mile, 5 mile, and 10 mile to fit the physical status of all participants. A lunch is served at Huff’s pavilion to thank and reward our walkers. You are invited to join us in this ministry. Please contact the Church Office for more information.

ZIONSVILLE AREA FOOD PANTRY
On a regular basis donations of both canned goods and money are collected by the congregation to be sent to the Zionsville Area Food Pantry. This Food Pantry located at 5901 Old Kings Highway South, Old Zionsville PA was formed in May 2009 to aid those in the area who were, and continue to be affected by job lose, lose of income, and demanding fuel costs. It is a cooperative social ministry of the Lutheran, UCC, Mennonite, and EC congregations in the Zionsville and Upper Milford communities. For more information about this ministry and how you can help please call 610-966-3834.

LEHIGH MISSION DISTRICT CHRISTMAS INGATHERING
Our congregation has a long tradition of participating in the Lehigh Mission District’s Christmas Ingathering ministry. The In-Gathering provides Christmas packages and gifts through the Lehigh Mission District Lutheran Churches that are given to institutions in the Lehigh Valley.
Some of the institutions include: Topton Home Children’s Services, Good Shepherd Home, Daybreak, Keenan House, Turning Point, Allentown State Hospital, Downtown Ministries, Sixth Street Shelter, and Allentown Rescue Mission. All benefit from the generosity displayed during this collection period. Donations are brought to church and deposited into the boxes provided for In-Gathering. Then, on a preset date and time, the participating churches deliver their donations to a collection site where they are processed and distributed. At the end of the day, all volunteers share a meal and a worship service
